Lose An Extra Pound Every 10 Days - No Gym & No Diet

Do you get frustrated when you are losing weight that it is simply not coming off fast enough?

The average person gains 10 lbs. per year. Simply put that is just 96 extra calories eaten over the amount burned each day.

I remind client’s everyday how the weight that they want to lose came on slowly.  A few extra calories here and there, a little less activity there, etc...Therefore, when you realize that the weight you gained most likely developed at a rate of 1 lb. a month or less, it shows that to lose 1 - 2 lbs. a week - is truly fast!  At this rate - you are losing more than twice as fast as you gained.

Speaking of resolutions, what are some New Year’s resolutions that you have kept?  Have you kept the one where you say you will write in your diary every single day?  That you will go to the gym every single day?  That you will eat better every single day?  Most likely, you haven’t.

But have you may have kept general rules of thumb in check like: Take more pictures, give more compliments, focus on positive thinking…etc.  Those are small and realistic goals, and therefore much more attainable.

That is where Anywhere Anytime (AA) activities come in.  These are small, realistic ways to add a little bit more toning, stretching and calorie burning activities to your day.  Things like: parking at the farthest end of the parking lot, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, doing a few jumping jacks when you get out of bed to get your blood moving or even just household chores like cleaning out a closet...

All in all, AA activities can help you burn up to 350+ additional calories per day.  Added together, that is enough additional calorie expenditure to help you lose an extra pound every 10 days...that's adds up to 36.5 lbs. per year!   

If incorporating Anywhere Anytime exercises inspires you to go further and do more strenuous and structured exercises – that’s great! But even if all you do is start to incorporate more of these into your day, you are still keeping your mind focused in a way that looks for calorie burning opportunities and calorie cutting tricks.

While using AA activities alone may not help you lose all your weight - using them CAN help avoid the yearly ‘10 lb. gain’ and WILL help you generate a positive, healthy mindset - a mindset that is worth it’s weight in gold!
