Optimism Linked To A Healthier Heart

9:18 AM

According to new research conducted at the University of Illinois, people who are optimistic have proven to have significantly better cardiovascular health!

Lead study author Rosalba Hernandez says:

"Individuals with the highest levels of optimism have twice the odds of being in ideal cardiovascular health compared to their more pessimistic counterparts.  This association remains significant even after adjusting the socio-demographic characteristics and poor mental health."

The study analyzed 5,100 adults ages 45 - 84 and based their metrics on American Heart Association-approved heart health data and level of optimism.

...Don't believe it?  Well, this study is not alone!

In 2012, Harvard researchers also found a strong link between optimism, hope and overall satisfaction with life and a reduce risk of heart disease and stroke.

...So remember - to get healthy: GET HAPPY and keep up that 'can-do' attitude.  Not only will you encourage positive results but you will improve your heart health with your happy attitude!
